Air Air is associated with the principle of vibration. It is responsible for all movement of the body especially circular motions. Air stimulates creativity. We will explore fully exhaling to allow for a full inhale. Fire Fire is associated with the principle of radiance. Fire can lift us up and transform us or burn us to the ground. It gives us courage and drives us forward. Fire has the power to transform. We will explore where we are putting our energy and what fires we are fuelling in our lives. Water Water is associated with the principle of cohesion. It encourages working together and supporting others. Water is cleansing, nourishing, harmonizing, and flexible. We must be open to the flow that water brings to us. Will experiment flowing in and out of poses with the fluidity that water brings. Earth Earth is associated with the principle of inertia. It is grounding, stable and represents home. As part of our practice will experiment with keeping our poses close to the ground and stabilizing our energy with Bhumisparsha mudra. Physical FocusThis month we will explore a physical focus of shoulder and hip mobility, core stability, anterior core and hip flexor strength, shoulder flexion, and a low to the ground practice. |
