Muladhara (Root) The root chakra is associated with grounding energy, stability, steadiness, safety, connections, and trusting your instincts. It is located the base of the spine near the perineum. When balanced, there is a sense of trust, self-confidence and your needs are being met. If not you can be fearful, insecure, and restless. At the base of the spine. Red. Grounding, stable, sturdy, safe, connection, instincts. Physical Focus: stable foundation. Strength. Leg power Svadhisthana (Sacral) The sacral chakra is associated with your inner self, flow, creativity, expression, passion, and emotions. It is located three finger widths below the navel. When balanced, there is a sense of creativity, joyfulness, energy and enthusiasm and when imbalanced a sense of shyness, jealousy and being guarded can appear. Three finger widths below the navel. Orange. Self, flow, creativity, expression, passion, emotions. Physical focus: Hips and continuous flow Manipura (Solar Plexus) The solar plexus chakra associated with the metabolism process, digestion, power, strength, and courage. It is located at the center of the solar plexus. When balanced, a sense of drive, determination and ambition can dominate but when imbalanced people can show insensitivity, self-doubt, digestive issues and self-centeredness. Center of the solar plexus. Yellow. Metabolize, process, digest, assimilate, power, strength, courage, fire.
